Market Place - How to set up in the CMS

What is the difference between "Events" and "Market Place"?

The Market place is going to be anything you want to promote. From bars and restaurants to quad biking and wine tasting. 

So you have a chance to build up a portfolio of business partners. Its quite a powerful tool and if you get it right and get enough traffic to this page that then translate into bookings to these recommendations. You could be in a position where you could potentially make more money via affiliate relationships, referral commission etc.

Below I will walk you through how to set this up step by step.

Step 1:

Create the Market place page (if you have not already got it on your CMS)

Right click the Home node and select Business List. Name it and then click create:

Step 2:

Fill in the SEO tab in order for it to save and publish:

Step 3:

Right click on market place and create a location that will then contain businesses your recommend

Step 4:

Right click on your newly created location and create a new business

Step 5:

Populate information on the content tab. Important tip, the content panel does accept HTML

Step 6:

Select the category this business fits into from the "Events and market place categories" folder. If you do not have a category that the business fits into, right click on Events and market place categories and create one for it.

Also assign the location which this business page lives in

Step 7:

Search the address and once you find the location via the search and or moving the marker around, you need to then click on the marker and press "Use this location". If you do not press this, it will not save it.

Then populate the address information and other panels below the map

Step 8:

Selected images you want for this business to be displayed

Step 9:

Populate the SEO mandatory fields and any sidebar widgets you want to show if any

Step 10:

You will want to upload some icons that represent the categories. You can either download these from icon websites and upload them to a folder in your Media section of the CMS. Or create you own to be more brand specific using something like Canva.

You then want to assign this icons to the categories so they show on the map of the Market Place page
