Setting up the API connection with HomeAway

IMPORTANT - Clients must have a SSL activated before we attempt connection.


Getting Started

1/ Please navigate to 'Tools > API Configuration', you will need to create a new connection


2/ Click the button "Add New API Configuration"

3/ You will need to complete as follows:

  • Client Name - HomeAway
  • Client Secret - Leave Blank
  • Authorization - IP
  • IP addresses - See below
  • Enabled - Yes

4/ Click 'Submit'

5/ Click the 'Cog' icon, you will be presented with the following screen

6/ Please activate the following settings:

  • Availability - Query
  • BookingCalc - Query, Add, Update, Delete
  • DaysAvailability - Query
  • ImportBooking - Query, Add, Update, Delete
  • ImportEnquiry - Query, Add, Update, Delete
  • Properties - Query
  • Property - Query
  • ProperyAll - Query
  • PropertyDistances - Query
  • PropertyExtras - Query
  • PropertyImages - Query
  • PropertyRooms - Query
  • Rates - Query

7/ Click 'Submit'

8/ Create a listing on the IPROPROD2 within clients.XML file, the file is located here - C:\PROD\sites\iproha.i-pro5.com
